Hope Springs Community Church of the Nazarene Leadership
Hope Springs Community Church of the Nazarene is blessed to have a leadership team who are truly dedicated to Christ and accomplishing His will. Following are brief bio's of our leadership team and their qualifications for ministry.
Pastor Wayne was appointed to serve as Hope Springs Community Church of the Nazarene's Senior Pastor in November of 2013. Prior to that, he served as Visitation Pastor of Cross Roads Community Church of the Nazarene in Farmington, NM.
The attributes that best describe Wayne as a pastor are preaching of the Word of God that invites people to be students of Jesus, equipping the followers of Jesus to fulfill the Great Commission (make disciples) while living the Great Command (Love God and Others), and being genuine and open in his relationship with Jesus. God has placed him to lead Hope Springs Community Church of the Nazarene for a time such as this. He is glad to be in a gathering where biblical views are embraced and encouraged, with members who care about the needs of those around them and who want to connect others to the body of Christ. Pastor Wayne takes worship and preaching very seriously, while also understanding the importance of living what God is teaching.
Wayne grew up in the family auction business. After HS graduation, he spent seventeen years in financial services, transitioning to Registered Nurse where he spent another seventeen years in healthcare. He completed the requirements for ordination in the Church of the Nazarene, New Mexico District, completing the education requirements through Nazarene Bible College.
Pastor Wayne has been happily married for thirty-seven years to his wife, Paula. They have two grown children and five grandchildren that live in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.
Paula is Pastor Wayne's wife. She is currently working torwards ordination in the Church of the Nazarene and is licensed with the New Mexico District. God has called Paula to preach within the last 4 years. While she works on administering at Hope Springs, so that we can continue to focus on what God is calling us to do, she is also managing a physician's office in Farmington, NM. Paula spends a lot of time on the road, a lot of time in God's Word, and what time is left is spent in textbooks as she finishes the educational requirements for ordination.
Paula's favorite hobby is her five grandchildren!
Karla loves Jesus with everything that she is/has/is becoming. She has faced many personal challenges and finds that she identifies and connects with many people that have been neglected, pushed aside, ignored, put-down, and just plain feel left out. She has a great passion for worship and the Word. Karla is pursuing ordination in the Church of the Nazarene and is licensed on the New Mexico District. She is working part-time and ministering part-time while she continues her educational requirements through Nazarene Bible College.
